Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, (a) what definition his Department has set for initial operating capability for the new Ajax Armoured Reconnaissance Vehicle; and (b) what are the estimated dates for (i) initial operating capability and (ii) full operating capability for the programme.

The Ministry of Defence and General Dynamics are currently working to resolve the issues associated with the Ajax programme in line with the contract.

We will not accept a vehicle until it can be used safely for its intended purposes.
