Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how the amphibious helicopter lift capabilities of HMS Ocean will be replaced between 2018 and 2023.
This question was answered on 12th January 2017
Following the decommissioning of HMS OCEAN and prior to the Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers being brought into service, a combination of the existing amphibious ships of the Royal Navy and the Royal Fleet Auxiliary will provide the lift capability for our amphibious forces.
