Armoured Fighting Vehicles

Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, when he plans to announce the final number of vehicles his Department plans to procure as part of the Mechanised Infantry Vehicle programme.

I refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave on 1 November 2016 to Question 49995. The Mechanised Infantry Vehicle project is in the concept phase and it remains too early to provide a timeline by which a decision on numbers can be provided.
