Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what assessment he has made of the potential merits of adopting the recommendation by the Single Source Regulations Office that programmes and platforms procured through foreign military sales should be brought into the single source procurement regulations regime; and if he will make a statement.

When framing the legislation, the Ministry of Defence carefully considered whether it would be practicable to include such agreements. The Single Source Regulations Office will make recommendations to the Secretary of State for Defence in 2017 on changes to the legislation after they have consulted fully on this and other issues.
