Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether his Department has made a recent estimate of the number of UK-flagged escorts required to support Carrier-Enabled Power Projection capability.

The Force Protection profile for current and future operations is under constant review. The proportion of the Royal Navy's deployed escorts used to support Carrier-Enabled Power Projection capability will depend on the operational tasking and circumstances at that time.
