Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what steps he is taking to minimise cost increases to the Carrier Strike programme.

The approved cost of the Queen Elizabeth Class programme remains at £6.212 billion. The Department keeps costs within the programme under very close scrutiny, and industry is incentivised to manage cost pressures.
