Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what the cost to the public purse is of dredging Portsmouth Harbour to allow the Queen Elizabeth carriers to enter Her Majesty's Naval Base Portsmouth.

The current approved budget for the dredging works and related activities is around £60 million, inclusive of VAT.
