Investment in the defence sector, regardless of source, is subject to thorough scrutiny and must satisfy the Government's robust legal, regulatory, and national security requirements. Mergers and acquisitions in the defence sector are monitored to ensure that any national security risks are identified and mitigated in line with the requirements of the National Security and Investment Act 2021.
