Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what is the annual cost of running the British Sovereign Base Areas of Akrotiri and Dhekelia.

The Annual cost of running the Sovereign Base Areas for the last three financial years (FY) is as follows:

These costs are for Administration only and do not include costs from other Ministry of Defence sections based in Cyprus such as British Forces Cyprus, Defence Infrastructure Organisation, Director Medical Services, Defence Digital, Director of Children’s Services, which directly/indirectly support the Administration.
