The Royal Air Force does not have a Weapon System Officer (WSO) Lead-In course. A pre-requisite for the WSO role is completion of the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Foundation course. The average time between completing the Military Aviation Ground School to starting the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Foundation course during the past 12 months is 10 Weeks.
