Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask Her Majesty’s Government, further to the Written Answer by Lord Astor of Hever on 25 October 2013 (HL2640), whether Nimrod MRA4 ASW technology has now been incorporated into the Merlin Mk2.

The Anti Submarine Warfare capability developed on Nimrod MR2 for the Nimrod MRA4, has been approved and funded and is in the process of being integrated onto the Merlin Mk2 aircraft. The capability is expected to be in service in 2016.
