Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether, in their current review of defence options, they will review whether or not the Vanguard class submarine replacement programme should be dealt with outside the defence budget.

The Dreadnought programme is rightly funded as part of the Ministry of Defence's budget. We remain on track to deliver this programme within the £31 billion budget, with the first in the Dreadnought class entering service in the 2030s.
