Question to the Department for Education:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they will be collecting data on birthplace and nationality for the early years census in January 2017; and if not, whether relevant regulations will be amended accordingly.

At this time, we are not extending the collection of country of birth and nationality data to the early years census. Therefore, there are currently no amendments required to the relevant regulations underpinning the early years census.
