Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask Her Majesty's Government what was the minimum period served in custody for people given (1) extended determinate sentences, (2) an extended sentence of detention, and (3) a sentence for offenders of particular concern, in each of the last five years.
This question was answered on 23rd December 2021
No prisoners serving a sentence for offenders of particular concern were released in 2016 as the sentence was only introduced in 2015.
The Ministry of Justice holds data on the minimum period served in custody for the relevant sentences covering the period requested and this can be viewed in the attached table.
