To facilitate mutually beneficial relationships between Africa and the UK by amplifying African perspectives to further understanding of contemporary UK-African relations and pan-African matters within UK parliament. The group also seeks to challenge negative stereotypes pertaining to Africa where they persist.

Note: All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) are informal, cross-party groups formed by MPs and Members of the House of Lords who share a common interest in a particular policy area, region or country. APPGs have no official status within Parliament.
